Remodel and renovation electrical.

We survey the existing wiring, run new circuits through finished walls where we can, upgrade the panel where we must, and phase the work so the house has power every evening.

The problem

Old wiring is only known once the wall is open.

A remodel has to work with the wiring already in the house. The existing panel is often at capacity, and the house still has to be lived in while the work runs. We survey the existing wiring first, say where new wire can be pulled through the finished walls and where a new circuit has to run from the panel, and phase the work so the power is back on every evening rather than left off over a weekend.

What we decide before opening walls.

Survey

The existing wiring traced and recorded: what is on which circuit, what capacity is left, and what was done by whoever was here last.

Done before we price the job.

Pull through or rewire

Where the walls allow, we pull new wire through them and patch the openings. Where they do not, we run a new circuit from the panel, and we say so before work starts.

Decided room by room, after the survey.

Phasing

The sequence that keeps the kitchen, the bedrooms and the systems powered while the work moves through the house.

Agreed with you and the builder before work starts.

Survey, then sequence.

01

Survey

Existing wiring traced, recorded and tested.

02

Scope

A written scope and a price, naming which circuits are pulled through and which are rewired.

03

Phasing

The order of work set so the house stays livable.

04

Install

New wire pulled through walls, patching, new circuits and panel upgrades, room by room.

05

Testing

Point to point testing against the panel schedule, and the permit closed out.

Common questions

That is what the phasing is for. We set the sequence so the rooms you are living in keep power, and the power is back on at the end of each day rather than left off.

No. CITE Electric is project and install based: new construction, remodels and the systems that go with them. We do not take on single-fixture jobs.

Yes. CITE Solutions is the integration company under the same ownership, so the lighting plan, the panel schedule and the programming are drawn by the same team and land on one schedule. A builder deals with one contractor for the wire and the systems.
