The problem
Fire and egress systems are judged on inspection and test records.
Life safety is checked twice, by an inspector and by an insurer, and both check the test records. Detection, egress lighting and access power all have to be on circuits that survive the loss of the supply, and all of it has to be tested and recorded. We wire it under an unlimited license and hand it over with the certification.
